Liquid Distribution Through Controlled Spray Coverage
Spray Nozzle Distributors use an arrangement of spray nozzles to distribute liquid across a vessel or packed bed. Liquid is supplied through a header and branch pipe system and discharged through individual nozzles, creating overlapping spray patterns designed to provide effective coverage of the required cross-sectional area.
Unlike gravity distributors, Spray Nozzle Distributors operate using liquid pressure to generate the required spray pattern. The nozzle type, spray angle, flow rate, spacing, and orientation can be selected to suit the vessel diameter, liquid rate, available pressure, and required distribution pattern.
Spray distribution is particularly useful in applications where liquid needs to be introduced directly over a large area, where irrigation of packing is required, or where the liquid spray itself contributes to gas-liquid contacting, cooling, washing, or quenching.
Each Spray Nozzle Distributor can be configured to suit the process duty and available vessel space. Header and branch arrangements can be supplied in sectional form where installation through existing vessel manways is required.
