Cyclonic Separation for High-Efficiency Liquid Droplet Removal
GasuMax™ Cyclones are designed to remove entrained liquid droplets from gas and vapour streams using centrifugal separation. As the gas enters the cyclone tangentially, a high-velocity vortex is created, forcing liquid droplets towards the cyclone wall where they coalesce and drain from the separator. The cleaned gas then exits through the central outlet.
Cyclonic separation is particularly effective for applications involving high gas velocities, elevated liquid loading, or process conditions where conventional mesh demisters may be susceptible to fouling or excessive pressure drop. With no moving parts and a simple, robust design, GasuMax™ Cyclones provide reliable mist elimination with minimal maintenance requirements.
Each GasuMax™ Cyclone is custom-designed to suit the gas flow, liquid loading, operating pressure, temperature, and required separation efficiency. They can be installed as standalone separators or integrated into process vessels and scrubbers to enhance overall gas-liquid separation performance.
