Produced Water Treatment Using DEPSEP™ Plate Pack Technology – SASOL

Efficient Oil-Water Separation at 4,000 BWPD

The Challenge

SASOL required an effective separation solution for a produced water treatment facility handling a throughput of 4,000 barrels of water per day (BWPD).

The application required reliable oil-water separation to improve treated water quality and support the facility’s environmental discharge requirements.

Our Solution

Rosenberg supplied its DEPSEP™ Plate Pack Coalescer technology, engineered to enhance oil-water separation by providing an optimised surface for dispersed oil droplets to coalesce and separate from the produced water.

The DEPSEP™ plate pack was designed for the required hydraulic duty, providing effective separation within a compact footprint while handling the 4,000 BWPD process flow.

The Result

The DEPSEP™ installation successfully delivered the required produced water separation performance, demonstrating the technology’s suitability for demanding industrial water treatment applications.

The project highlights Rosenberg’s capability to provide compact, engineered separation technology for high-throughput produced water duties.
