P-Pak™ Random Packing

Pall ring random packing is still widely used today. It is specified in a number of licensed processes and has been tested by various researchers over the years. P-Pak™ random packing from Rosenberg is the industry-recognized Pall ring packing equivalent.
P-Pak™ Ring

Product Information

Pall rings have cylindrical dimensions but punched rows of windows increase performance by increasing the surface area of the packing. They are suited for low pressure drop and high capacity applications. They have a degree of randomness and a relatively high liquid hold up, promoting a high absorption, especially when the rate of reaction is slow. The cross structure of the Pall ring makes it mechanically robust and suitable for use in deep packed beds.

⊕  Equivalent to the widely used Pall ring
⊕  Designed by BASF AG around 1940 based on the Raschig ring
⊕  Punched “shovels” leave “windows” on the outside, facilitating vapor flow and increasing capacity compared with the R-Ring
⊕  Extensively tested by research institutes worldwide

⊕  Distillation
⊕  Stripping
⊕  Carbon dioxide scrubbing
⊕  Liquid–liquid extraction
