Mist elimination for high viscosity fluids

Z-Mister™ Vane Mist Eliminator

Z-Mister™ mist eliminators are high-capacity separators constructed as banks of parallel, chevron profiles that cause the gas to change direction several times. The momentum forces entrained liquid droplets to impinge on the vane surfaces where they form a liquid film and drain.

Product Information

Vane mist eliminators are physical separating devices that work on the principle of inertial impaction. Vanes, sometimes referred to as chevrons, are parallel corrugated sheets held at a fixed distance apart to create a flow path for moisture/mist laden gas.

As the gas flows through the vane it changes direction and the captured droplets coalesce on the vane, forming larger drops which fall downwards due to gravity. Depending upon the operating conditions and physical properties of gas & liquid, typical droplet separation ranges from 10 µm to 40 µm.
