Glycol Regenerator

Reconcentrating TEG after gas dehydration, protecting the glycol from thermal breakdown.

The duty

Boiling water out of rich glycol to reach the lean concentration dehydration needs, without cooking the solvent past its degradation limit.

The regenerator boils water out of rich glycol so it can go back to the contactor at the concentration needed to hit dewpoint spec. Lean glycol purity is the single biggest lever on dehydration performance.

The constraint is temperature. TEG degrades above roughly 204 °C, so higher purity cannot simply be bought with more heat — it comes from better stripping in the still column, or from stripping gas.
