Deaerator & Vacuum Stripper

Pulling dissolved oxygen or light ends out under vacuum, where low pressure drop is essential.

The duty

Stripping dissolved oxygen or light ends out of a liquid under vacuum, where the internals’ own pressure drop erodes the separation.

Removing dissolved gas from a liquid under vacuum is a low-driving-force duty. The lower the absolute pressure at the top of the column, the more effectively the dissolved component comes out — so any pressure drop across the internals directly erodes the separation.

Deaeration for boiler feedwater is the classic case: getting oxygen to single-digit parts per billion protects the whole steam system from corrosion.
