Z-Mister Vane Mist Eliminator

Z-Mister™ Vane Mist Eliminators use profiled vane blades to separate entrained liquid droplets from gas streams by inertial impingement. Their open construction provides excellent drainage and resistance to fouling, making them ideal for high gas velocity, high liquid loading, and dirty service applications.

Efficient Mist Elimination for High Velocity and Fouling Services

Z-Mister™ Vane Mist Eliminators are designed to remove entrained liquid droplets from gas streams in applications where high gas velocities, elevated liquid loading, or fouling conditions make conventional wire mesh demisters less suitable. A series of profiled vanes forces the gas stream to repeatedly change direction, causing liquid droplets to impinge on the vane surfaces where they coalesce and drain from the separator.

The open vane construction provides excellent drainage and is resistant to fouling, making Z-Mister™ particularly suitable for dirty process streams, viscous liquids, and applications containing suspended solids. Its robust design also allows operation at higher gas velocities than traditional mesh mist eliminators while maintaining low pressure drop and reliable separation performance.

Each Z-Mister™ Vane Mist Eliminator is custom-designed to suit the vessel geometry, operating conditions, and required separation efficiency. It is widely used in scrubbers, absorbers, knock-out drums, separators, and process vessels throughout the refining, petrochemical, chemical, and oil and gas industries.
